This semester was mostly spent on improving my skills, basically learning in general. Although I did not purposely center all of my projects around one element or theme, some elements did show up in each of my projects.
Those elements include; color, design, and contrast. I'm sure there are more but those are the main ones. Contrasts comes up in projects such as the round plate when I put stripes a crossed it. I think it shows contrast in that the lines go straight but a round plate does not. Color shows up mostly because everything has some color on it, even the 'Oops' bowl. Lastly, design shows up a little. A design could be simple like a blue line through a black bowl, or paint splatter in many colors, or it could be having a small flower inside the bowl.
I primarily focused on my skills this year. By not setting that many guidelines for what my projects have to look like, or anything like that, I was able to focus on learning and seeing what happens.
