This is one of the last things I made this year, I decided I wanted to try throwing with red clay. I think it was about the same difficulty as throwing with mixer clay. I liked the color so I left the inside that color and glazed the outside black. I think that made the project look darker, but still looks nice. When I was attempting to foot it, it seemed it was off-center so I left it alone, I didn't want to make it worse. I'll work on footing better again next year.
This is another thing I made out of porcelain, this one is a baby bowl for my mom. I had glazed another project similar to this but it turned out a little differently. I put a baby blue type of color and then a black. I did it in rings and then put white over the whole project so it blended together. The last time I put white over black it turned out to be a blue-ish color which I really liked. For my last theme project, I made a bowl and glazed it multi-color with white over it so it would run. Not all of my colors showed up though, there was supposed to be some purple on the inside. I think I needed to put more glaze on this since it didn't really run like I wanted it to. There was some issues with the footing but it still worked. It isn't a very big foot though. |
