As of right now, I don't have a sketch but I do have an idea. I plan to use lines and dots to show when I met my best friend. I plan on having it darker colored, there will be a blue person just going with the flow and then comes a purple person. The lines and dots around it will be colorful but still be kind of a dull color compared to the blue and purple people, I will be using specifically blue/purple for these people because it represents an inside joke between my friend and I. Then it'll go on, and the two dots will start to drift apart, and maybe it'll become a duller darker color and then they'll come close and drift apart again, then there will be colors around them even though they are still apart. This will hopefully represent a falling-out, where her and I weren't as close as we used to be because she moved again and a lot of stuff happened. The end part, where we are still far apart but there is color around us will represent how we are now. We aren't as close and unless she comes back and we talk this out, we will probably never be that close but that's okay and slowly, we're moving on. I'm trying to decided whether or not I want at the start of my paper to have a person, along the boarder, with lines coming around/out of the head like all of this is a memory. |
Here is the sketch for my final draft, I'm still not completely positive whether I want to use colored pencils, paints (acrylic/watercolor). or if I want to use oil pastels.
The circle down at the bottom is supposed to represent me, the curved lines coming from it represent the memories.
I've decided against using people, it would be too figurative and it looked strange.
There's some background space but I figure I can put a color back there that will make the rest of the motif really pop.
