First, we took a close up picture of a landscape, such as flowers, leaves, or something of that nature. We then put it into an iPad app, traced it for proportions and to get the general shape. Then we could choose between doing a rough draft or going straight to the final. I did a rough draft and then went to my final, after a couple of tries. I finished my painting, not very proud of how it turned out but wasn't sure what else to do. I then worked on techniques when using watercolors, and painting raindrops, on a rough draft that I originally hadn't liked.
Below is the picture of my techniques painting, I was amazed at how it turned out. I didn't think the raindrops were going to look like raindrops at first but after comparing it to the original, looking from afar, and taking pictures I realized it looked more like raindrops. I really like this one.
