We first started out with a picture, traced that in an iPad app, drew that on a rough draft paper, split that drawing up into many different little cubes, transfer that on to a final draft paper, and from there it was painted.
I chose the background of the sky and clouds to represent how I'm constantly day-dreaming, could also be referring to how I occasionally have my "head in the clouds". The way the face is broken up makes the painting appear more mysterious. I feel like it'll make the viewer wonder who this girl is.
Although I am quite proud of this painting/drawing, there are a few things I wish I had down differently. Such as emphasizing the cube part of it, making my cubes look more cubed. I could have done this by making the sides longer or more apparent.
