After my third day using the wheel, I finally successfully created something! It is basically just a small bowl.
Before it looked fine but was a little lopsided or something small like that, as I went around it on more time it would break or I would try to even it out, and it would break. So, although it is a little small and has a dent in the rim, I kept it. I'm actually quite proud of my bowl, it was my first successful one and I do like the color. It turned out a nice blue.
A few things I should do differently might be adding a few more coats of paint on the inside. I should have cleaned out the middle a bit more so it was somewhat flat, rather than flat with a little (barely noticeable) mound type of thing.

Tools: I used a regular pencil to sketch Loki and then I used paints, both water color and acrylic. Loki Silhouette Picture from the Internet: I used this for proportions and shapes. Medias: Sketching, Painting What skill did you strength, or what did you learn? I think that by drawing and painting this I strengthened both of those skills. I still think I should add more of a variety to my drawings and paintings though. |
