This picture got really kind of, colored down for say. It didn't turn out as planned but its alright, for a starting practice I hope to get better at drawing rocks, waterfall and water in general. This was done September 14, 2013.This is also a really bad photo...
So with this drawing I basically just quickly sketch something out with one of my darkest pencils because I was really was in the mood to draw something. I just didn't know what and so I just was like looking at this Bird on a journal I had and it was just I want to draw that and so I just kind of quickly sketch it out and then I was thinking well that's a lot of space left over. And the bird, it was looking at something and so I drew in a tree to take up most of the space, then I thought "man. I really want to draw a little chipmunk because its really easy but It's just like a sketch it's nothing serious and so I just wanted something into tree and put a chipmunk in it. This drawing was sometime at the beginning of the year and it only took make two minutes at the most. So, obviously I never got around to finishing this. But, I really like the way that the eyelashes worked out and I think it's a really good kind of try for that, I don't know if it would be for anything else. It was a picture that i got of the internet that had tears in it and was a reflection of someone walking away and I thought that was a really cool looking picture, and that it had alot of emotion and opinion in it, it was just a really good snapshot of a moment drawn by someone else. I wanted to try it but I never got around to finishing up. This is another thing I found at my Grandmas house, a deer and her baby. This was done July 12,2013. This is a rose that I found at my grandmas house that had been made for her, I drew this July 5,2013. The backstory: While working on a project with my Mom during Veterans Day weekend, I decided that I wanted to paint something on a piece of paper. Basically, working on my shading in paint. It's just an apple, nothing to fancy. Tools: The tools would be just white and blank paint and a small piece of scrap paper. Skills strengthened and improved: My shading with paint, although still needs some improvement, was the skill I strengthened. It came out looking more like a poorly done value scale than an actually shading that makes it look 3D. But that's alright, it was a good start and good practice. The Backstory: My cousin, Kaitlyn, had decided to take up Art. We decided to draw each other, although I procrastinated for quite some time before starting I finally finished it on August 14, 2013. I was and still am very proud of it. I think, or thought, that it was nicely done and looked very close to how she actually looked in the picture. Tools: I used a variety of the graphite pencils I have, erasers, those little white blender tools ( names I do not know). I used a picture for reference. Skills I strengthen and improved on: The skill I strengthened and improved on was the skill of drawing in general but mostly portraits. For me, drawing people is very difficult. I find that getting the eyes to be the same width, length, and shape in general is very challenging. The same goes for lips and basically every facial feature there is. There is always room for improvement but for me the most need for improvement would be facial features and shading. |
