His eyes bore into the wooden piano, focusing entirely on the music escaping from the keys, behind him a jukebox stood silent,. No one realized that it wasn't the jukebox playing but a piano, a piano that no one recognized. One girl didn't care where the music came from, the checkered dance floor under her feet was calling her. At this blissful moment it did not matter if she could dance or not, her feet just moved to the notes.
Zack didn't notice people starting to dance, he was focused entirely on the music. Some sat at the bar counter on red plush Coca-Cola seats drinking chocolate malt milkshake.
When her shoes were worn out, and it was time to go home, she turned towards the guy playing the Piano.
"Amazing, that truly was. Have you been playing long?" She pondered, in between shifting his hands along the keys he merely shrug.
"Well, you are really good. I'd expect to see you in the fancy buildings playing for the queen and king if this was a different time period." She chirped, he kept his back to her continuing to play even if everyone had left. When the neon light from the open sign shone one last time, she knew it was time to go.
"It really was good, I've learned to not take for granted the little things we hear. Although, that wasn't something I hear everyday...Oh! Incase you're wondering, My name is Darla." Darla noted, moving towards the door, her aching feet screaming.
As the door closed, he mumbled, "A very long time indeed...." He closed his eyes for a snidbit of rest before he played all night long, like every day.
